Function
For our client in Sliedrecht we are looking for 3 Shopfitters.
Work
- Independently fabricate and assemble pipe sections;
- fabricating pipe sections and/or bracketry;
- assembling pipe sections, fittings, brackets and other supplies;
- machining, clean grinding and grease-freeing of welds (burning, grinding);
- Stitching of pipe sections according to guidelines;
- Transporting pipe sections, fittings and/or components to and from work site;
- Sign off on pipe sections, fittings and/or components according to guidelines;
- Identifying discrepancies in pipe material, components and/or drawings and informing supervisor;
- performing maintenance on the machines and tools used to perform work and keeping the workplace clean;
- Reporting machine and tool malfunctions to supervisor;
- Performs intermediate checks and final checks on dimensional measurements;
- Checking (punching) and bleeding of piping systems.
Responsibilities
- adherence to proper sizing and quality of manufactured and/or assembled pipe and/or piping;
- is responsible for intermediate and final dimensional checks;
- The efficient fabrication and/or assembly of pipe sections and/or piping;
- taking care to keep pipe sections sealed (capped);
- Keeping one's workplace clean;
- Working according to established Safety, Health and Environmental standards (such as attending toolbox meetings);
- proper operation of machinery and use of tools;
- Track maintenance of machinery and tools;
- Release of product to the welder and/or foreman;
- Monitor quality requirements of pipe material and components.
Powers
- Indicate qualitative deviation of product and components to supervisor;
- Calling colleagues/visitors to account for improper Safety, Health and Environmental actions;
- Issue improvement proposals (solicited / unsolicited);
- releasing the fabricated and/or assembled pipe sections to the welder and/or foreman.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 5 years' experience as a pipefitter in marine pipelines
Experience with Hydraulics is a requirement
100% Independent.
In possession of a valid VCA certificate.
Proficiency in the English language.
PPE required to bring your own
- blue coveralls
- Safety helmet (NO RED AND BLUE HELM)
- safety shoes
- hearing protection
- safety glasses
Offer
This is a full-time position in which you will first work through the temporary employment agency for a period of time and, if suitable, may be considered for employment directly with our client. This position is scaled in scale E of the CAO Metalektro and you will receive a SAO allowance of level 2.
